JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS (2001) got trapped by its own marketing. Sold as a lightweight teen movie for tweens, it was actually a sharp satire of consumerism, and pop music culture. A lot of the audience it was aimed at was too young to catch the joke.
Watching these people review "chicken inasal" as experts, yet can't properly pronounce "paa". 🤷
