Treat others like you want to be treated yourself isn't a one way street, and they have made it clear how they already view us.

And if there is a group of 5 people they will be walking in a wide line blocking both lanes, every single time

I give pedestrians a wide berth and slow down when passing them because so many people have no awareness of their surroundings.
