Here are my hitting and my fielding/stolen bases highlights from the weekend. I had a good weekend at the plate with a .600 BA with a .684 OBP including 3 doubles and my 2nd homerun of the season. I also had a 1.000 FPCT with 10 PO and 3 double plays. @extrainningsoftball
Traveled to Tennessee this weekend for Scenic City. Here are some of my highlights on the weekend including my first home run which was a walk off grand slam the game. Over the weekend I also had 5 walks and 2 hit by pitches with an OBP of .562 and a batting average on .300.
2030 SS Ella Fruth @Ellafruth_2012 is able to showcase one of the biggest factors in having lateral range. First, when the ball is hit, she is able to get a full hip turn before her 2nd foot touches the ground, allowing her to accelerate at full speed to cover ground. While this happens, you'll see that she can physically maintain eye contact with the ball with her shoulders still somewhat facing home plate as the ball is early in flight/path. She's able to get an accurate read and also cover ground due to these mechanics. Yes, she's fast, but this also has to do with HOW she moves and how her body is able to coordinate certain movements that create range. There are some things going on here that I may have to do a breakdown on in slow motion that are rare finds in a young MIF prospect.
Went 5-0 on the weekend before getting rained out on Sunday. Here are some of my offensive and defensive plays. I had a great time getting back together with my team. I had a OBP of .571 with 5 walks and a BA of .333 on the weekend. @ExtraInningSB@OregonSB@tagupSoftball
Welcome Ella Fruth @Ellafruth_2012 to the Scout #Softball Chicago National Showcase. Fruth is a '30 SS from Saint John, IN. Ella simply finds the barrel when she swings it and has a extremely quick release at SS. Request your invite to Chicago: https://t.co/cIrZ5t3L4R
