“Margo’s Got Money Troubles” is Elle Fanning’s most exposing role to date, spending many scenes throughout the eight-part series undressed:
“I’ve never been self-conscious about my body… I knew that it was crucial for it to feel like I’m not trying to hide. Margo is showing herself, so I had to feel that same way. I felt very protected on set. All our directors were women on this project.”

Elle Fanning reveals she asked Margaret Qualley for advice on wearing prosthetics:
“I do not have big boobs, so we had prosthetic ones. I know Margaret Qualley and she had to wear them for The Substance. She was great about talking about the distributing of weight and what they might feel like.”
Elle Fanning on fashion:
“I’ve always loved fashion and clothes and dressing up. I was quite an eccentric dresser when I was younger and I felt like I could really experiment with my clothes, so it’s a world that I’ve always been excited by.”
Elle Fanning says her boyfriend, Gus Wenner, executive chairman of Rolling Stone, has helped her prioritize time away from set, as she’s not good at taking time off:
“He’s come into my life and he grounds me. He will be like, we need to do a getaway this weekend, so he’ll plan something for us. I love him so much. He feels like a family member – like, my sister loves him, and my mom. Half my stuff is with him, and half my stuff is here in a rental. I definitely spend a lot more time in New York these days. I don’t know exactly where I’ll end up.”
