Russians are starving the occupied town of Oleshky right now, killing Ukrainians under occupation and burying them in mass graves, jailing them, kidnapping Ukrainian children, raping, looting, torturing.

Hunger in Oleshky: people in the occupied city have been without food and medicine for months

Up to 4,000 people remain there, including children and residents with limited mobility. The last food delivery took place on May 26.

Since then, the city has effectively been cut off from supplies of food and essential medicines.

Residents are starving and feel doomed. The roads are mined, while Russian drones attack humanitarian convoys. People cannot safely leave the city.

Residents are surviving on vegetables from their gardens. But the season is coming to an end, and people are slaughtering chickens because they have nothing to feed the animals.

Due to the shortage of food, theft of crops has become more frequent. After an attack on a humanitarian convoy, some residents collected surviving food directly from the wreckage.

Money has practically lost its value in the city. Cereals, flour, potatoes, and other food can only be obtained through barter.

The Ukrainian authorities and international organizations have tried to negotiate an evacuation. For this, at least a brief ceasefire is necessary.

But the Russians are refusing to open a humanitarian corridor.

The head of the occupation administration, Saldo, previously denied the humanitarian crisis. Later, collaborator Rodion Miroshnik acknowledged its existence but blamed Ukraine and the West.

Pete Hegseth rang Estonia’s defense minister and told him the HIMARS and Javelin deliveries are on hold.

Indefinitely. Months, not weeks. No timeline. No alternative. Just: sorry, we’re busy bombing Iran.

And that’s it. Twenty years of patient alliance-building, vaporized in a Monday morning call.

Here’s what European defense planners now know for certain: American weapons come with an asterisk. The asterisk reads “subject to cancellation whenever Washington decides its own adventure takes priority.”

Conservative estimates say that there are 40-100K Russian citizens who have come to live in Mariupol after occupation: including administration, private citizens who took mortgage or just bought real estate there.

Just imagine this:
- They killed around 100K civilians in Mariupol (estimates according to satellite imagery + morgue data – not possible to confirm while the city is occupied).
- Now they destroyed their graves (and previously just poured concrete over the bodies in the apartment buildings basements).
- They move in by THOUSANDS to live in the apartments of those dead people or those who cannot come back to confirm their property rights.

I just wish everyone could wrap their heads around these simple facts. Without any geopolitical points, grand ideas, and such. This is indeed THIS simple: people lived their lives, never attacked anyone, mostly spoke Russian, owned apartments and businesses and were generally happy with their lives. Russia took ALL of that away and either killed or virtually tortured the citizens into obedience, brainwashing their kids and substituting the Ukrainian population with Russians.
I have no freaking idea how anyone can support that. There is something deeply insect-like in it. Like a colony of ants moving into a neighboring ant house after killing its owners.

This week the Russian Duma passed a law letting Putin deploy troops anywhere on Earth to “protect Russian citizens.” Estonia and Latvia both have large Russian-speaking minorities on Russia’s border.

Trump has spent a month telling America that NATO abandoned him. The alliance didn’t show up when he needed it. Remember that.

What Americans don’t understand: leaving Europe before a major war doesn’t mean sitting it out. It means handing China the role Japan held in World War Two.

We are not saying this was planned. We are saying a plan between two men would look exactly like this.
