@IldikoMe Can you link the best study? If the test is wrong, and it’s substituted by docs and insurers for an mre because it’s less invasive, less expensive, and better liked by patients, you won’t be helping our daughters. That is my concern

@IldikoMe No mistake. Ius will have limitations, perhaps with certain disease locations or types. I would wait to see some mre v ius studies before I think drs should rely on this when an mre is available

@IldikoMe 1) if this is true, insurance companies will be all over ius because it is so much cheaper. 2) if this isn’t true, practices may still have an incentive to get it because patients like it. With my n of 1, I had one and it missed all of the issues shown on an mre, unfortunately.

@IldikoMe Idea of ius is great. Not sure if it is accurate enough to count on. Also, hospital funding for equipment and academic funding for conferences isn’t always the same pot.

@IldikoMe But people attend, so they must not feel as though there are too many. Post COVID (at least post a couple of years of COVID) we all need more connection. And dealing with disease is wearying for medical folks too. Even if these are just moments for joy they are good.
