In Italy you’ll hear Italian but obviously locals try to accommodate tourists, same thing in any country I’ve travelled to.

Kids tend prefer the fun parent, not the main parent who has to actually discipline & set rules-in this situation it’s ye. if you have the kids part time it’s easy to be the “yes man”
