Of all the Superbowl events/festivities, the one that got me was the doggone @Tubi commercial! Had me diving across the coffee table to grab my remote 'cause I thought the TV was switching sources during the game 🤣🤣😂😂
@freeznutz @AfAmEducation Yes, exactly. I'm grateful that I have a good relationship with my ex-wife and her spouse. We all support each other 100% when it comes to our children. It's much harder when the co-parenting relationship is strained...
@freeznutz @AfAmEducation I love that idea! Hope more educators can find ways like this to encourage engagement. My kids' school does some of this as well, but it's up to parents to take advantage of these opportunities. I try to attend them whenever they are done
@AfAmEducation A4: From experience, the best tip is regular, recurring engagement with teachers, staff and administrators. Just showing up to school events is not nearly enough. You must call/email teachers regularly. That has worked well for me...
@DrBryanDHale1 @AfAmEducation That's part of the challenge, though. Fathers that are intentional (like myself) are often met with dismissive responses - For example, I once had a school nurse tell me I could be arrested - because she didn't believe the proof I had provided that my children were vaccinated
@AfAmEducation ...some educators of course have been better than others, but far too often, there is an unspoken rule to only communicate with the mother, and resistance (perhaps unintentional) to communicating with the father - which leans toward bias...
@AfAmEducation ...and when the next year starts, the process has to start all over again, due to bias towards the mother and against the father. This is a systemic issue that I've experienced since my kids were in Kindergarten...
