@ClaireRFans Calling me racist is a serious allegation, and I completely deny it. Hilary’s friendships have nothing to do with what happened. I didn’t target anyone because of race. My comments were about behaviour and the situation, not ethnicity. And my name is Elliott.
You have also made a post on your personal page alleging racism. That is an extremely serious allegation, and I categorically deny making any racist comments or behaving in a racist manner towards these individuals.
Given the seriousness of such an allegation, I would expect you to provide clear and substantiated evidence to support it. If you are unable to do so, I ask that you withdraw the allegation and refrain from making further unsubstantiated claims about me.
@HilaryDuffPR Sorry what is this about? You were told this by one of the women? Because I didn’t hear that personally. I’d also like to mention that I didn’t drink any alcohol at the concert because I drove just for context.
@ClaireRFans@HilaryDuffPR Please provide evidence of my alleged “lack of singing.” Were you standing next to me throughout the concert? I have footage on my phone from throughout the show clearly showing me singing, which completely disproves that allegation.
And finally, my name is spelt Elliott.
I didn’t recruit anyone or imply any wrongdoing. I was simply concerned about my friend, that’s all. My view was blocked, but I made the best of it and got on with it. The lads were there before me, and that’s how it goes. I’ve never disputed that. My issue, as I’ve said before, was the attitude and the way we were spoken to. That’s what I found unacceptable.
Firstly, I don’t know what evidence the individuals had on their phones or what was shown to security. All I’m saying is that I know what I saw, and I was more than happy to provide the evidence I had. I wasn’t physically pushed until the end of the show. I was there with my friend and nobody else, so I can only speak from what I personally witnessed and experienced.
@ClaireRFans Sorry but you haven’t got your facts right at all. I wasn’t there with the blonde lady. I was there with my other friend who was 4ft. Please don’t get me involved or make assumptions about me.,
I’m 6ft and you were both taller than me. Luckily, my view was fine, but that’s the nature of standing its pot luck. I respect that you shouldn’t be pushed back because you’re tall. However, a few very small women, including my friend, politely asked to move in front so they could see. If they had, you’d still have been able to see everything anyway. The attitude they received wasn’t friendly, respectful or reasonable, and I think that was the issue. You were very defensive straight away.
I didn’t complain simply because I couldn’t see the stage. I raised legitimate concerns about how we were treated, including my disabled friend. I had every right to do that without being dismissed or having the situation misrepresented. You made it about height, not me. You confronted me while I was discussing height with someone else, misheard me and assumed I was talking about you, when I wasn’t.
Firstly, thank you for your message. I did not complain to security. When they approached to remove you, they asked what had happened, and I explained that I had witnessed you push one of the ladies to the left. I did not witness what happened beforehand. I immediately provided my name and number to security so I could be contacted if an official statement was required. I did this simply because I was a witness and wanted to be respectful and truthful about what I had seen.
@ERAmoreGirlie@HilaryDuffPR I was very present and have the evidence to back it up. Unfortunately there is two sides to every story and the people behind this fan page acted in a disgusting manner in which 10 separate witnesses can justify.
You’re leaving out a very important part of what happened.
After security intervened, you were specifically advised to stay to the left or right side of the standing area. You did not follow those instructions. You continued returning to the same area, pushing through people and repeatedly causing problems for those around you.
We did not call security to have you removed for no reason. We called security because the situation had already escalated and we wanted them to deal with it rather than continue arguing ourselves.
If you had simply followed the instructions given to you by security, the situation could have ended there.
Instead, you continued coming back, pushing through the crowd and harassing people around you.
The video you refer to is one moment of a much longer sequence of events. It does not show everything that happened before or after it.
There were multiple witnesses around us, and several people experienced the same behaviour.
You are entitled to share your version of events, but presenting yourselves as though you were simply removed, showed a video and were then completely vindicated is not an accurate reflection of what happened that night.
I don’t use X, but after seeing a post about the Hilary Duff concert at Manchester’s AO Arena, I feel compelled to respond because a photograph involving me was used and the account presented did not reflect what happened.
I’m not seeking drama, identification or harassment. I’m simply offering context.
My friend, who is around 4ft tall and has a disability, and I attended the concert. Before entering, I saw two tall men repeatedly moving between queues. Inside, they eventually stood directly in front of us.
My friend politely asked whether she could stand slightly in front of one of them so she could see. He told her she should have brought stilts, laughed at her and said he had paid to be at the front. When I explained her disability, he said he was visually impaired and disabled too. I would never question an invisible disability; my concern was the hostile way the conversation was handled.
The men continued obstructing the view of people behind them, including several women. Rather than escalate matters, we called security. Both men were removed, and the crowd immediately had more space and a better view. Around 20 minutes later, they returned and attempted to move forward again.
Towards the end, they pushed through the crowd. I saw women being pushed, including two who fell, and a drink was spilled over my friend’s new Hilary Duff top. I also heard derogatory comments about other people’s appearance.
My friend was left in tears, as was another woman nearby.
The footage shared online appears to show only part of the situation. Several people around us witnessed what happened, and we later spoke to security again.
Hilary Duff was incredible, and most fans were wonderful. I’m not trying to create a pile-on; I’m simply saying there are two sides, and consideration matters.
