@WinterTech_Desu Thanks for letting me know, but I don't really mind. It's a shitty thing to do and it's right that some artists actively go after it, but in my case it's just not worth the effort. I'll instead enjoy the thought that someone might have my work lying on their desk :D

@ellie_oops Oh and you have the luxury of making changes to your models without messing up any blendshapes! I'll continue using joints for this, but I'll simplify my setup and try to use fewer of them.

@ellie_oops I think using joints for this is very fiddly and actually gets in the way when you're using them for an armored version of a character. But the great advantage is that the rigs and skinning can easily be repurposed if you reuse your topology on other characters.

@Sreliata Yeah, we all know that risk :D I don't think fair use applies when you are using original assets from a game, modified or not. Maybe it's a grey area since the animation etc are original, but idk ...
Sharing models or putting your work behind a paywall for sure is problematic tho

So you all likely wondering what happened. On Wednesday, as I was bringing my kids home, I was approached and delivered a C&D order in my own driveway, sent by Blizzard to remove all my content. I shut down the site and social media until I could get proper legal counsel.
