@MichaelRosenYes Late 50s and most school puddings were dire - but I was the winner when it was semolina pudding. I loved it and could have eaten as much as I wanted, as bowls were surreptitiously slid down the table to me. ( for balance, I wasn’t fond of rice pudding & loathed tapioca !! )

@fesshole Maybe it’s related to synaesthesia.
I have colour/letter & sound/shape synaesthesia but there’s a form which personalises numbers &letters ( ie. “ number 5 is untrustworthy” ) I’ve not experienced this, but wonder if what we’re talking about might be related to it …..
