In the context of my own work that doesn’t appear to be the case, based on all kinds of measures including repeat attendances, post workshop evals etc. But my work is billed as playful, so I guess that’s what people sign up for.

@BlancmangeBlob @HelenBevan Sometimes, at the end, there’s so much that’s happened that the participants can’t take in a verbal ‘best bits’ from the rest of the team. Taking it home in this way reminds them of the playfulness of the process… and they can pop the balloon to read contents when they’re ready.

@damien_page I got BCD in A levels; had to beg grammar to let me sit them. Was living with a violent single parent and had caring responsibilities for two younger sisters.

Scraped into @BangorUni : lovely attentive professors, safe accommodation, was finally able to focus. Got high 2.1.

This is so important, and very reminiscent of the old “product v process” debates in 1990s community arts discourse. Eventually it became accepted that these weren’t in opposition but in fact, utterly entangled.
