i do think we need to impose, like, way more rigorous schooling on kids. they should have to read books that challenge them. they need to learn at least a second language. they should be forced to memorize and recite poetry. idgaf

I am in Academia because I have a need to pursue knowledge and understanding.
I'm also no good for anything else, it's the only place where I could be useful as a part of a bigger system. That's where my talents lie. So it's academia or freelancer hell. I much prefer Academia.
