Yesterday, we kicked off the Team1 Kenya Mini Hack: Build Games Cohort. 🔺

The first session challenged us to think differently about gamification. It isn't just about games. It's about designing experiences that drive meaningful behavior and solve real business problems.

We explored how mechanics like points, badges, leaderboards, streaks, and quests become even more powerful when they're built on Avalanche, where rewards are verifiable, portable, and truly owned by users.

Over the next four weeks, our builders will turn these ideas into real onchain applications through hands-on learning, collaboration, and experimentation.

Team1 Kenya Founder Spotlight 🔺

Meet Paul, founder of Project Mocha.

@ProjectMochaHQ is helping smallholder coffee farmers access global capital through Production Notes, a financing model where every dollar is backed by verified coffee production.

The idea is rooted in a challenge @p_gachora has witnessed firsthand as a third-generation coffee farmer. Every season, many farmers produce high-quality coffee but struggle to access the capital they need to grow. Project Mocha is building a transparent and traceable financing model that connects productive agricultural assets with global investment opportunities.

Today, Project Mocha is working with coffee farmers in Kenya to build a transparent financing model backed by verified coffee production.

Paul chose @avax because its high throughput, low transaction costs, and scalable infrastructure make it well suited for bringing real-world assets onchain and creating efficient financial systems for agriculture.

By combining generations of coffee farming experience with blockchain technology, Project Mocha is showing how Web3 can unlock capital for farmers while building a more transparent and inclusive future for agricultural finance. 🌱☕️🔺
