After recently stepping away from coaching, I put together a coaching manual highlighting the most important lessons I learned during my first year as a head football coach. I self-published it on Amazon for anyone who may be interested. Hope it might help someone!

How SpaceX Plans to Reach Mars This November Using the Starship Rocket
As explained by Elon Musk, SpaceX’s Starship does not fly to Mars in a straight line. Instead, it follows a carefully planned elliptical orbit around the Sun called a Hohmann transfer orbit, which uses gravity and momentum in the most efficient way possible.
The best time to launch a mission to Mars is during a Mars transfer window, when Earth and Mars are positioned closest in their orbits, reducing the amount of fuel and travel time.
These launch windows occur approximately every 26 months. The next optimal window will open in late 2026, as Mars reaches opposition and comes relatively close to Earth, making this the most efficient time for a Starship mission.
First, Starship launches from Earth on top of the Super Heavy booster and enters low Earth orbit. After refueling in space using tanker Starships, it performs a maneuver called Trans-Mars Injection (TMI), firing its engines to stretch its path into a long elliptical orbit that intersects Mars’ orbit.
Starship then coasts through space for about six to nine months, making only small course corrections along the way.
As it approaches Mars, Starship enters the Martian atmosphere at high speed. Its heat shield protects it while the thin air slows it down.
Using its body shape to create drag and lift, Starship bleeds off speed before firing its engines for a controlled vertical landing on the Martian surface.
This method allows Starship to transport large crews and cargo efficiently, paving the way for human settlement of Mars and making the vision of a multiplanetary civilization achievable.
Peter Thiel on Elon Musk:
“When Elon was building Tesla and SpaceX in the 2000s, people—even PayPal alumni—thought he was really crazy. We planned a book where his chapter was titled ‘The Man Who Knew Nothing About Risk.’
If one succeeded, you’d call it luck. But when both harebrained ideas triumph, you have to reassess: Maybe the rest of us are too risk-averse, or Elon knows something about risk we don’t.”
36 years ago today, 20-year-old rookie Shawn Kemp threw down this nasty reverse dunk against the Knicks!
"I felt the crowd. Man, in the next 30 days, I think I had 54 dunks. So, it just created a beast."
My Tesla's FSD this morning handling the switchbacks over and back down Hoosier Pass for me reminded me of Doc Holliday in tombstone🤣... Elon is so far ahead of the game, its mind blowing... Wild... wild i tell ya🤯@tesla@elonmusk
