@Marco_D True that. I really hope that if we do sign Garnacho that he leaves his hubris in London.
It also seems like his BlueCo teammate Moreira is signing with us as well (not that it’d help Garnacho out considering they’ve never played together despite both being owned by Boehly)
@JoeyLegit1@fiago7@Plettigoal That’s not the point, the POV here is Freiburg’s. THEY shouldn’t accept less than €100m from a team like Newcastle (nor from any other English team)
@fiago7@Plettigoal Quite insane considering that Newcastle have already spent €92m on three players who were collectively worth €35 million before they were bought. I’d be demanding €120m
@scudzeko I mean they have one of the best midfielders in the world + a top 5 goalkeeper ITW last season and an amazing manager on top of that, it’s not like they’re some bums
@theoldzealand I feel like (and Hassan made it clear in the end with the Mourinho handcuff gesture) they were all collectively rattled by the refereeing in this game, even when Zico got his legitimate goal he still had the refereeing on his mind… it’s terrible it had to end this way
@theoldzealand But the thing is that this specific law was not written to prevent things like this. It was written so a goal would be rescinded if A DEFENDER was illegally impaired while trying to do their job in the build-up to the goal!
@lewispu16@theoldzealand The rules have been bastardised by the implementation of VAR. A foul in the direct lead-up to a goal IS an offence that would cancel a goal, but it was written to prevent defenders from being impaired while defending, this is a whole different thing.
