It’s summer so I’m finally reading again! Book 1 this holiday was a Christmas present that I saved to savour. I love #maggieofarrell since I read The Hand that First Held mine. This didn’t disappoint. The author’s note explaining the high prevalence of uxorocide was unnerving.

Holiday Reading Book 15: I really enjoyed the way the book was structured. It was fascinating considering the journey the couple took. Clearly emotional and the vivid descriptions of people and place helped tie you to the characters quickly - helpful when the timeline jumps

Holiday Reading book 14: Inspiration for the next holiday’s books perhaps? Enjoyed the diversity of the characters and being reminded of books I have loved but not revisited in a while. A lot of different story threads not all tied up (but not in a frustrating way)
