📢 Artists! How to protect yourself with invoices &
What to do if you get a PayPal chargeback 🧵

Do you write "commission" in your invoice?
There's actually something much better...

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

One more victim of the scammer! Keep sharing to warn more people, thank you 💖

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@fruidee Yeah honestly I've always heard terrible stories about PayPal and artists, they are terrible at defending digital goods and services...

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@fruidee That's why I made the post, at the very least I want to warn other people like me so they can protect themselves from the scam! They really are so detached from reality for choosing to do this to real people over pixels

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@tigerchristabel @grilledghoti Thank you very much! > u < yeah it was all messed up but I got luckier in the bunch I gotta say it 🥲

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

❗❗SCAMMER ALERT ❗❗
Ok time to put some order into chaos.

@ihaveahangnail (also know as Gigi) has been going around commissioning jayvik x heated rivalry screen redraw to multiple artists, only to dispute the payment later.

Proofs in🧵

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@tigerchristabel @grilledghoti I absolutely want for people to be able to protect themselves. I'm an artist that work hard and I cannot accept these kind of behaviors that hurt other people's livelihood, especially over pixels

[Noelia Cortés | COMMISSIONS OPEN @NoeliaCortes_]

@ElyonBlackStar @_SanAzy Hi! As one of the people affected by this, I want to share my experience as well. This person contacted me to commission some Jayvik x Heated Rivalry illustrations. From the beginning there were issues with the payment

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@grilledghoti I wasn't aware of the situation but thanks for telling me! Another person did contact me with the same conclusion and now we just have proof I guess 😂
What a loser. Will definitely block the hell out of them, they don't deserve anyone's art or time

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@_SanAzy @NoeliaCortes_ I'm honestly disgusted and appalled by all of this, but hopefully they won't be able to scam anyone else. Please DO SHARE your experience if you had meet this person and SHARE THIS POST from the start to help other artists!
Thank you very much and stay safe ♥

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@_SanAzy @NoeliaCortes_ If you are in a similar situation with someone going by 'Gigi' or asking the same type of art, BE WARNED. This person also seems to be changing avatar, bio and other info so watch out. They might be called Kinberly based on the mail, but I would take with a grain of salt.

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

First red flag was they tried to pay me directly instead of via invoice (which is both dangerous to artists and against pp tos) but I refused. They did came back with a working mail for the payment, so I give them the benefit of the doubt and proceed with payment.

[✨ElyonBlackStar✨ @ElyonBlackStar]

@ritsukotheloner Thank you 💕
