As students are approaching exam season, what are some reliable and easy ways to prevent negative mental health issues? Is there any study breaks tips to ease the mind? @MHCC_
Alicia, this is a very significant issue in today's society. As University students, we can relate to the issues of limited access to technology. The inequalities of funding provide a lack of means for students. #EM203Robin
A problem that is relevant to me and many people in Canada is poor mental health. I will discuss the ways to help promote a healthy lifestyle and prevent mental illnesses through self-care tips. #EM302Robin#EM203problems
A problem that is relevant to me is the issue of alcohol abuse amongst post-secondary students. Being a university student, you can easily be exposed to environments where alcohol is praised despite its abuse and health related issues. #EM2O3Robin#EM203Problem
@jacktrim I have not been using Twitter often anymore either. However, being in this class, it is different to see how Twitter can be used for educational purposes. Now I can use Twitter to understand other students' thoughts on learning styles and theories.
@HinspergerLaura I first created a Twitter account in 2014 because all my friends had it. However, over the years I have grown to understand that I received most of the news and current events by scrolling through my Twitter feed. In a non-school context, Twitter is educational for news updates.
@matildaem203 I truly agree with your point on adjusting earlier ideas to fit modern teaching! Since the internet has grown and continues to enhance its abilities, it is important for education to follow the same path. Introducing new technology can help modern learning and teaching.
@DLee170323560 I agree, Dillon! The internet is easily accessible for most people; therefore, it is great when needed for school, work, or leisure time. Many schools use the internet for students to research, read, created assignments, etc. so it is very functional for the needs of education.
@ethanthom13 I agree, Ethan! A significant amount of our learning stems from the internet. All around us we are surrounded by different social media platforms where information is always posted for us to learn. The online web becomes a news source and another form of teaching for society.
The first three weeks of EM203 have helped me understand the digital world and its advantages in a learning environment. The learning theories portray how they could be applied in different situations- media, online, technology, classroom, etc. #EM203Robin
