The increasing frequency of wildfires in North America due to environmental harm is a problem connected to @em203jasneet 's topic of Climate Change. We are alarmingly seeing the damage caused by our pollution patterns. #EM203Problems
@EM203ZFung Zoe, I especially enjoyed learning about the digital age and how different forms of media shape the way we communicate and learn. It’s exciting to see how these ideas connect, and I’m also looking forward to what’s next in the course.
@AveDeschamps HI Avery, I like how this course encourages us to look beyond just using platforms like X and instead analyze their impact. Thinking about digital communication this way makes it clear how learning is becoming more public, faster and de-influencing traditional classroom settings.
@EM203Julieann Hi Julie, I agree technology doesn’t just deliver information it also influences how we think, what we focus on, and what we question. It definitely makes you more aware and critical of what you’re scrolling through every day.
@EM203CarsonCooc Hi Carson! I said the exact same thing about multitasking. We have gotten so used to the convenience of having multiple screens that we are no longer able to take in information, but rather just scroll. I am curious to know if the course will go into how we can discourage this.
@EM203Marain I feel the same way. Technology is most effective when it’s used intentionally, not just for convenience or multitasking. Using it with a clear purpose helps us actually learn, not just stay busy. It's important to be aware of the difference!
These first lessons helped me realize that being constantly online doesn’t automatically make us digitally literate. Understanding learning theory, multimedia learning, and the 4 C’s has changed how I think about learning in a digital world. #EM203Robin
