BREAKING | OBAMA SAYS NETANYAHU PUSHED FOR WAR ON IRAN USING SAME CASE LATER MADE TO TRUMP
Former U.S. President Barack Obama has said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu repeatedly pressured him to support a full-scale military confrontation with Iran.
Obama said Netanyahu presented him with many of the same arguments later used to persuade U.S. President Donald Trump to take a harder military line on Iran.
Obama said Netanyahu had long pushed for direct military action, but he remained unconvinced that such a war would serve either Israeli or American interests.
Obama said he consistently disagreed with Netanyahu on the Iran issue and suggested those differences were well established throughout his presidency.
He noted that while Netanyahu ultimately moved closer to securing the kind of confrontation he had long advocated, Obama remained skeptical of both its strategic logic and long-term consequences.
The comments point to a longstanding dispute between Washington and Tel Aviv over how to confront Iran:
• Netanyahu pushed for military escalation
• Obama resisted full-scale war
• Trump later adopted a more confrontational approach
Obama’s remarks suggest the current conflict reflects a strategic line Netanyahu had pursued across multiple U.S. administrations.
The statement highlights:
• Netanyahu’s long-term push for confrontation with Iran
• continuity in Israeli pressure across different U.S. administrations
• renewed scrutiny over how the current war path was shaped
If Netanyahu pushed multiple U.S. presidents toward war with Iran using the same arguments, does the current escalation reflect a sudden crisis, or a long-planned strategic objective finally realized?

New Syria. Same old pressures. Different choices this time?
On 24 March 2026, an incident at PES University, Bangalore went viral on social media. A professor, Dr. Muralidhar Deshpande, targeted a Muslim student, Affan, during class with repeated sectarian and insulting remarks.
He called the student a “terrorist” multiple times, used abusive language, and made derogatory comments about his social and personal background, including calling him “poor.” He also reportedly used highly offensive remarks such as “burn in hell.”
After the student complained to the HOD, the professor allegedly continued to single him out in front of the HOD, again referring to him as a “terrorist of the class,” in front of around 60 students. Students who supported Affan were reportedly suspended, with the action being justified as “disrupting class discussion.”
The professor is said to have submitted an apology to the college but did not directly apologize to the student. The HOD reportedly issued an apology on his behalf, and there are allegations of indirect pressure on the student.
The CCTV footage, considered key evidence, is reportedly unavailable, raising concerns about transparency and accountability.
In India, incidents of hate speech and divisive behavior against Muslims are frequently reported. This incident is also seen as part of that broader pattern, where a Muslim student was allegedly targeted on the basis of his religion and made to feel unsafe within his own country and educational institution.

Global Energy Markets React as Kuwaiti Oil Prices Surpass $118 Per Barrel
The Kuwait News Agency has reported a significant surge in domestic crude prices, with the cost of a barrel of Kuwaiti oil rising by $8.10 to reach $118.93.
This sharp appreciation follows the onset of regional hostilities involving the United States and Israel against Iran. The escalation has reportedly led to a near-complete halt of maritime traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, driven by reports of active engagements and the persistent threat of further incidents in the waterway.
The Strait of Hormuz remains a critical global chokepoint, with approximately 20% of the world’s energy exports transiting through this narrow passage. The current disruption to this vital artery has sparked widespread concern over the stability of global gas and oil supplies

The UN human rights chief has demanded that the United States complete its investigation into the strike on a primary school in Iran, where more than 175 children and teachers were killed.
A school turned into a graveyard. Classrooms are reduced to rubble. Children buried under debris, and still, only “investigations” and delays.
Iran raised the issue at the global forum, calling it an atrocity that cannot be hidden or justified. Voices from Pakistan and China called it a clear violation of human dignity, demanding accountability.
Yet those responsible remain silent, absent, and unanswerable. No urgency. No immediate accountability. Only statements.
If over 175 children can be killed in a school and the response is delay and deflection, what message is being sent to the world, and whose lives are being valued?
Worst crime in the human history 💔
Israeli soldiers torture a one-year-old child in Gaza, including burning his leg with a cigarette and inserting a nail into his leg, according to a TRT report, to pressure his father to make confessions.
These are the pants of the child, Jawad Abu Nasser, who was totured in Gaza by Israeli soldiers, a small piece of fabric that stands as powerful evidence of the crime.
They bear traces of his blood, reflecting the abuse he endured. A visible hole can also be seen, indicating the insertion of a sharp object, resembling a metal rod, into his foot, with a clear exit point through both the foot and the fabric.
The evidence does not end there; there are also marks that appear to be burns, likely caused by cigarettes being extinguished on them.

Iran’s missile strikes, carried out in retaliation, targeted a large industrial warehouse in the Israeli city of Be’er Sheva.
This attack was conducted as a response after the war was initiated on February 28 through a joint US-Israel strike.

Today, I had the honour of speaking to the 47 countries that comprise the @UN#HumanRightsCouncil urging the immediate release of my father @imrankhanpti and all #Pakistan’s #politicalprisoners. Along with this, I want to be very clear. Like my father, I fully support maintaining GSP+ as the people of #Pakistan should never be punished for the actions of its leaders. But the Pakistani regime must also fully comply with the 27 treaties it committed to follow to obtain this benefit, including the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights and Convention Against Torture. @UN@ptiofficial #HumanRights #ImranKhanUnlawfullyDetained
In the outskirts of the town of Ansariyeh in southern Lebanon, an Israeli attack yesterday killed one person and injured 13 others. The attack targeted a car on the highway between Ansariyeh and the coastal town of Saksakiyeh using a drone, causing the vehicle to catch fire.
According to the Lebanese Ministry of Health, during the night, an Israeli airstrike in the southern town of Harouf also injured six people.
Israel has not only devastated civilians in Palestine but its aggressive attacks have extended to Lebanon, Syria, and Iran.
According to experts, the purpose of these attacks is to severely disrupt peace in the Gulf region and spread fear and terror across the area.
These attacks by Israel are ongoing, involving drones and airstrikes targeting civilian areas. Just as it wreaked havoc on ordinary citizens in Palestine, it is similarly undermining peace in Lebanon and other countries.
These attacks are not only causing loss of human lives but are also affecting the social and economic structure of the region. Ordinary citizens live in fear and panic, and local economies and daily life are being disrupted.
Despite this, there has been no effective accountability from the international community for Israel’s illegal occupation and repeated ceasefire violations. Not only in Lebanon and Palestine, but Israel’s aggression across the region continues without any significant sanctions.
Will the international community continue to merely watch Israel’s aggression? Or will it ever take effective measures to protect peace in the region and the lives of innocent people?

US President Donald Trump has publicly threatened the destruction of Iran, declaring that if any attempt is made on his life, he would order overwhelming retaliation against the country.
Speaking in a televised interview marking two years since his return to office, Trump said any harm to him would trigger a response so severe that Iran would be “wiped out,” describing it as a standing instruction already in place.
He also used the remarks to attack his predecessor, accusing the previous administration of weakness in responding to threats attributed to Tehran.
The statement represents a sharp escalation in rhetoric, openly framing collective punishment and total war as a political message. Such language signals how personal security narratives are being used to justify threats against entire nations, further destabilizing an already tense regional environment and normalizing the idea of annihilation as state policy.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney says the era of a US led rules based international order has ended and will not return, marking a rare public admission from within the Western bloc itself.
The statement reflects growing fractures among Western powers as wars, sanctions regimes, and economic coercion erode the credibility of institutions long used to police the world in their favor. What is now emerging, even by their own admission, is a contested global order shaped by power, pressure, and selective law, not principles.
When architects of the old system declare it finished, it exposes a deeper reality: the order failed not because others rejected it, but because it was built to serve a few at the expense of many.

In occupied Jerusalem, under the cover of police, Israeli Jewish settlers are entering the courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque in an attempt to gain permanent control over this sacred site, which is the third holiest place of worship for Muslims worldwide, and such intrusions not only violate its religious sanctity but also further escalate tensions in the region.
Through this act, Israel seeks to create the impression that Jews have been worshiping at this site for a long time and that their presence there is normal. This attempt to present reality according to its own interests is, in fact, part of a planned and long-term strategy of occupation.
First, showing their presence on Palestinian lands and sacred sites, then targeting local Muslims with violence and harassment, followed by attempts to establish control over the area, and finally presenting this illegal occupation as normal to the international community—all of this is part of an organized plan.
