I also like that his experiences relative to systemic racism have shown him firsthand the limits local power to effect widespread change. It seems like a big influence on his Douglass Plan.

@HeheWaitWhut @AJ_Indiana should probably respond to this one! As someone not from there but who tries to stay informed, I like that he listened to black activists in the community when they had concerns about his 1K Homes initiative, which resulted in extra money available for home repairs.
