Be it man--
Be it beast. . .
Or be it even gods themselves.
๐จ๐ณ๐ณ will return to the ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ of night. It is not a matter of 'if', but '๐๐๐๐'.
@TaintedxIchor โ. . . No, but it probably should. Divine things are not meant for the mortal realm.โ
Being insatiable was one of humanity's greatest weaknesses. . .
โBut at the same time-- mortals seem dead set on self-annihilation and need guidance. . .โ
@heuerduloup โ. . . Yes, I suppose that would make sense. After all; I am the Mother of Night for a reason.โ
Nyx twirled the stem of the flower-- before releasing it into the air. The flora would float for a moment; before disappearing into thin air.
@TaintedxIchor โ. . . You misunderstand--โ
Nyx shook her head in response. Perhaps it was her fault for speaking in such a cryptic manner.
โIt was a analogy.
Mortals have such short lives. So short that they pass in the blink of an eye.โ
Solemn blue hues merely continued to watch the horizon. Almost as if searching for something that clearly wasnt there.
Nyx-- her divine body swathed in a dress of white opposed to the standard black; sighed.
โ. . . Do you need something of me?โ
She wasn't entirely wrong, on that front. Still, the night had been quite long. Far too long, in his humble little opinion. And without a lovely goddess to enjoy it with, it made it all the longer.
Still, he peered out at the sunrise along with her, a quiet hum of satisfaction.
@TaintedxIchor โ. . . Mayhaps.โ
The Goddess wasnt one for words-- meaning, she wasnt one to talk much. Which effectively made her boring to others.
โBut it matters little.
For all I have to do is blink and you'll be gone; just like the rest.โ
@heuerduloup Nyx did not look at him.
Instead, she kept her gaze upon the blue petals of a particular flower. . .
Though it wasnt one that mortals would be familiar with.
โSuch is the 'night'.
Where everything is calm; and all returns to sleep.โ
@TaintedxIchor โBored. . .
That is a feeling that I've long become accustomed to.โ
The cold gaze of blue eyes fell onto him. She gave off a cold, yet comforting aura.
โOnly the machinations of humanity seem to entertain me.โ
โMhm. . .
Though the moon is far more beautiful.โ
She was the Goddess of night, after all. But that was beside the point.
โ. . . But even I know that the moon only shines due to the light of the sun. So it too is beautiful.โ
Grassy footsteps echoed as the sun remained in the distant, slowly rising upward with the wind blowing softly.
It wouldn't take long before a presence stopped beside the woman while placing his hands on the pocket.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
The night had been long.
As many say, it is always darkest just before dawn.
And then, the sun had broken the horizon. Morning, at last--.
The higher-dimensional being rose to a seated position; their eyes peering upon the rising sun in silence.
โMmm. . .โ
