Nothing screams happy 4th of July quite like gutting healthcare access for tens of millions of Americans in the name of tax breaks for billionaires and their cronies
Forsure dude!
The Senate version of President Trump’s tax and immigration bill would force at least 17 million Americans to lose health insurance, which would effectively undo the coverage gains made by the Affordable Care Act. https://t.co/nrM2unjGb7
Ro Khanna winning decisively against his opponents who were bankrolled and astroturfed by Oligarchs is one of the few good things coming out of California tonight
Tonight, we showed that you can stand up to billionaires in the heart of Silicon Valley and prevail. When I supported a billionaire tax, the tech lords recruited a candidate to primary me and spent $1 million on false attacks. They predicted an “end” to my career. The results speak for themselves. The progressive movement can win anywhere!
I want to congratulate Republicans Ritesh Tandon and Jennie Ha Phan- one of them will be in the top 2. I also want to congratulate @ethanagarwal for running. It's not easy to put yourself out there. I lost twice before winning. I hope you'll stay engaged. And @MKatz4Congress thanks for raising such important issues on surveillance and privacy. Let's work on them together.
I absolutely love the democratic process, and tonight reminds us to never underestimate the power of citizens over big money and special interests. I believe we will renew our nation and build a new deal for our time.
primary day in ca is sad cus there are some people im stoked to vote for and then lots of reminders that the ca democratic party machine is still a total behemoth in this state and will take a long time to tackle.
Amazing exchange between Tom Steyer and Xavier Becerra :
“I’m the son of poor Mexican immigrants, the first in my family to go to college” Becerra said.
“You are a billionaire businessman, son of a Nuremberg prosecutor. We have nothing in common.”
“Perhaps we do”, responded Steyer
“We are both traitors to our class.”
Looks like @peterthiel left not just California but America.
I again echo FDR: we will miss him very much.
I am for Team America and those who actually give a damn about building our nation.

Now that they got Massie, Trump and the Epstein Class are turning all their attention to @RoKhanna. The Israelis can't stand to have even one legislator who represents Americans in Congress. They want complete control. Imagine if Americans found out what Israel did with Epstein.
This post is from my Legislative Director, Raphael. He is the original author of the Epstein Files Transparency Act. He was offered twice his salary to leave my office and declined.
The staff of @RepRoKhanna and @RepMcGovern also made tremendous contributions to the legislation.
This is a perfect answer.
Hope Massie fucks up the establishment with Ro for the next seven months. Then @RoKhanna will be the lone survivor of the USS Populist.
But there’s a cavalry gathering in the populist woods. And rebellion stirs throughout the land.
My good friend @RepThomasMassie lost tonight.
He lost because he had the guts to stand up to the Epstein class and against the war.
He won voters under 45 by 30 points.
Tonight, I say to this voters who feel rejected by Trump. We welcome you. Join our coalition to take on a rotten system and stand for the working class over the Epstein class.
We will build a movement to stand for Team America.
This goofy Bernie 16/20 discourse that pops up every now and again always obscures a basic fact:
The current Bernie Sanders - the Bernie of NOW - is the most popular currently-elected official in America. And more popular than he's ever been.
When the history of 21st century America is written, @BernieSanders will be seen as one of the most consequential leaders who built a movement to transform an unfair and lopsided economic and political system. Worth reading @ShaneGoldmacher piece.
Trump walked right into this. He accidentally promotes @RoKhanna’s American steel bill, makes himself look like a hypocrite and lets us know he’s worried Ro is even convincing Republicans he’s right. Trump also unwittingly implied Ro was smart, at least he got one thing right.
Trump's second attack of the day on me.
This is why I go on Fox. This is why I talk about an economic agenda to build steel, ship & battery plants in hollowed out communities. This is why I talk to everyone, including Trump voters, without hurling insults.
This is how Democrats will win & unite the country.
The man building a ballroom with foreign steel probably shouldn’t call himself the champion of American steel.
But as you learned from the Epstein files, I’m open to working across the aisle. So how about signing my steel bill to actually rebuild the American steel industry?
Congratulations to @bpforcongress on his victory. I was proud to be one of his first national endorsers.
He is a union worker and will fight for the working class.
