@MustBeMistry I wish more people would understand this. Digital as an enabler of services and not to further the technology in an of itself. Culture change is hugely important but maybe the wrong problems are being solved if the interest is lacking at the coal face?

@AfJEM Aren’t we asking the wrong question? In resource constrained systems, shouldn’t we be comparing AI algorithms with human decision making to improve access and consistency in diagnosis?

@Almero No...it isn't... because flow problems occur before the patient arrives at the EC and long after they leave but the EC is viewed in isolation. How do ambulances prioritise and transport cases and can we keep them at home? How are social plans made on admission etc?

In health, we tend to over engineer processes to "add value" but this inherently increases costs - we can learn lessons from resource contained environments that deliver solutions that work and do it within a tight fiscal envelope #ISQua2019
