-School Leaving Certificate now cost #2000 only.

-No switching of schools in SS2.

-Where you did your SS2 is where you're writing WAEC/NECO.

-Nobody registers for WAEC/NECO without passing a Government-set examination: Government Centralized Exam (GCE).

-Textbooks are reusable.
No more doing homeworks inside textbooks, prompting new students to buy fresh textbooks each term. Families who have many kids can now have their children inherit textbooks from their siblings.

-No extravagant graduation ceremony for nursery and primary students.

All these directives, which are aimed at curbing extortion of parents, making quality education more affordable, apply to both public and private schools in Abia State.

A man tells you he left 2billion naira and another 75billion naira in a state government account number in First Bank, in the year 2014 after he left office as governor of Anambra.

He told you the amount,

He told you the amount he left.

He then crowns it all by saying IF you find his claims to be false, he will stop campaigning. The state governor should simply post the statement account for the state in 2014 to disprove him IF he is lying. But the foolish governor of the state is busy making stupid statements.

My goodness. This is not even about politics. But Peter Obi is just simply exemplary and exceptional.

I agree.

My marriage to my wife has taught me that marriage is a partnership, not competition.

The years leading to our marriage were turbulent for me. But the day I married this woman was the day I married peace into my life.

I married her into extreme lack. She endured the months when there was hardly any money, when we trekked long distances, and when even feeding was a struggle. There was a period when, as a breastfeeding mother, what I could afford was sometimes pap and beans.😃

Then abundance came. Then scarcity came again. We have seen different seasons together.

When I was struggling to raise money for the yoghurt business, she took ₦1 million from her cooperative to support the dream.

When her own career brought an opportunity for us to relocate abroad, it became my turn to stand behind her dream.

When I moved to the UK, she paid a year’s rent plus a huge deposit and took care of me and our four children while I found my feet.

This is what I understand marriage to be.

It is not about keeping score: “I brought this, you brought that.” Sometimes one person carries more financially. Sometimes the other does. Seasons change.

But through every season, you should know: this person has my back, and I have theirs.

And perhaps one of the things I treasure most is this: in all the years we have been married, through lack, abundance, relocation, raising four children, business failures and successes, I cannot remember one day that my wife deliberately disrespected me or use any negative words on me.

Marriage is two people saying:

“This is OUR life. This is OUR home. These are OUR responsibilities. These are OUR dreams. We will build them together.”

Choose someone who has your back and be the kind of person who has theirs too.

Cancer is a big problem in our society and it almost seems like anyone can get it no matter how careful you are, but you can also do some things to protect yourself and loved ones.

Cut down:
• Charred suya, the black bits, processed meat, sausages and hot dogs used in shawarma etc
• Mouldy groundnut, maize, egusi
• Reused frying oil
• Sniper-preserved beans, formalin fish
• Alcohol (shayo sweet but think about the long term complications) and smoking
• Firewood & generator smoke indoors
• Skin lightening creams

Also do this:
• Test for Hepatitis B and vaccinate if negative, biggest cause of liver cancer in our society. Test for Hep C too (no vaccine, but it’s curable now with treatment)
• HPV vaccine + screening for the women you love, the biggest cause of cervical cancer in our society, and a rising cause of throat cancer
• Grill beside the coals, not over them
