BREAKING: Donald Trump's lawyer Alina Habba scrambles for desperate damage control after his other lawyers claim in court that if Trump ordered SEAL Team Six to assassinate a political rival, he'd have to be impeached and convicted to be held accountable.

This is the most horrifying argument MAGA has made it date...

It all started with Trump's lawyers being questioned by a judge about their ludicrous argument that he has some kind of magical "presidential immunity." She asked the attorneys about a hypothetical situation.

"Could he order SEAL Team Six to assassinate a political rival?" asked the judge. "That's an official act, an order to SEAL Team Six."

"He would have to be and would speedily be, you know uh, impeached and convicted before the criminal prosecution," claimed Trump's lawyer John D. Sauer.

In other words, if Republicans controlled the House or Senate and refused to impeach Trump he would be able to murder his rivals without consequence.

Now, the Trump team wants to walk back the truly deranged claim.

Alina Habba appeared on Fox News for a conversation with far right hack Sean Hannity. She assured viewers that Donald Trump "didn't kill anyone" and whined that the judge was asking "hypotheticals that do not currently exist."

Someone should tell Habba that a hypothetical, by definition, is something that has not occurred yet.

"The real facts are so easy to win that we have to argue now the slippery slope argument of if he kills someone, will be held accountable," she said. "He didn’t kill anyone. He didn’t cause an insurrection. He didn’t get charged for it. But they’re using hypotheticals to frighten America."

"This is a slam dunk case. He should have a map. Immunity and presidential immunity," she added.

This is where we are as a nation in 2024. Donald Trump and his lawyers are quite literally arguing that he is above the law. They see him as a king whose actions cannot be questioned.

If we reelect him to the White House, our democracy will be destroyed.
