“The feeling that, to some extent, students are in charge of their own learning goes a long way to inspiring and maintaining their engagement with their own learning process.” https://t.co/M79ek6ptGn
Loved taking a look at @GOAlearning's Catalyst Conference projects this year. Especially enjoyed this look at the student debt crisis through the lens of game theory https://t.co/hme4d2plu3 #goandchangeit
These presentations remind me that transfer - the ability to extend learning from one context to another - is as natural a learning impulse as it is an important learning outcome. Give students agency in how they apply what they've learned and they blow you away. Every time.
The Catalyst Conference is open! Take a few minutes to show your support for students.
1. Go to https://t.co/LJEUOoXfcm
2. Explore projects by topic, course, or school
3. Like and comment! Your engagement matters!
4. Share projects you love using #goandchangeit
See you there!

Relieved that a system not designed to serve #GeorgeFloyd was able to deliver some justice today.
#Justice is a practice and a process, not an end result. Stay in it.
We just completed recording next Wednesday's speaker interviews for @GOAlearning Catalyst Conference and I am BUZZING!
Feeling like a kid who discovered a birthday present early: trying to play it 😎 on the outside, but 🤩🤸💥 on the inside. Can't wait for you to see!

I've had the pleasure of working with and learning from @GreenhillSchool teacher @JoelRGarza in the development of this course. It's a thoughtfully considered entry point: providing Ss reflection & practice opportunities, Ts structure to continue these conversations on campus.
Member schools: registration for our new pop-up flex course, Conversations About Race, closes April 8. Ideal for teachers, advisers, or other mentors to bring groups of students for reflection and learning. Free. https://t.co/Ubd0Ue71hd
