@Dashspantry@AllCreaturesTV@channel5_tv Surely a complex show like ACGAS, full of nuances and subtleties, isn’t meant to be a cosiness-inducing pill. Its authenticity comes from showing real people with ups and downs, life with its share of drama. Let’s allow the story to play out. I am sure it won’t disappoint.
@CindyLoweLane With the way these two characters have been constructed, series after series, they both needed a shock to the system (or a series of them) to help bring their feelings to the surface. IMO the writing is doing that beautifully and also sending enough clues that all will be well.
@CindyLoweLane The thing is… I don’t feel they did. What we are seeing now in the characters’ development is a direct consequence of what transpired in s6 and of how they both evolved. They still struggle to understand their own feelings, let alone be aware of the other’s…
@CindyLoweLane Despite the many upset voices, there are also fans who do appreciate this series and the way it’s been handled so far. We are just less vocal than the others.😊 I do hope everyone will be satisfied by the end of it.
Exquisitely nuanced acting from @exitthelemming in last night’s wonderful episode of #ACGAS. Not that Siegfried’s portrayal is ever anything less than nuanced, but this time his jumble of feelings was even more palpable. Hats off, sir. 👏
@K81142410366155 Great thread! 😊 I haven’t watched the episode yet, but it seems to me that it’s all heading in a clear direction, and both A and S are being pushed to the limit, until a sort of breaking point where all feelings will surface. Looking forward to A finally reacting next episode.
@K81142410366155 Thank you for the much needed positive vibes! A bit of patience and trust in the creative minds and all will turn out wonderfully well, there’s no doubt. 😊
@SuzanneFlink@curly_erin I am pretty sure it’s just a mix-up from Sam W., who counted the filming seasons and forgot about the 3-year time jump in the story.🙂
@curly_erin Indeed! Thank you for posting this! The negativity is a bit too much and people seem to forget to enjoy these stories and characters which make us smile and bring joy. I have no doubt they will continue to do so.
@DashnJess2297@GolfcartMozart@Darveyinbed Surely the showrunners are not setting us up for a sad and frustrating ending. Considering the whole narrative arc and all the hints we’ve been given, I don’t understand how anyone can doubt that they will bring them together beautifully. We just gotta have some (more) patience.
@turningsardines I actually think the new PBS bits that we hadn’t seen before are quite hopeful. Sam describing start of S6 as: she has her son and granddaughter and it’s lovely, but it’s all happening away from Skeldale and away from me” is what I would call a positive hint for things to come😊
@GolfcartMozart It seems to me a lovely idea and nothing to do with any damage control. Let’s focus on the positive, wonderful things this show brings to us all and not on any imagined doom-and-gloom…
@DashnJess2297@SuzanneFlink@K81142410366155@Darveyinbed I think one big factor in S&A building their relationship further would be that Siegfried doesn’t fall apart and learns to be patient if Audrey temporarily leaves Skeldale while things change between them. But who knows what the writers actually have in store for us…
@SuzanneFlink@K81142410366155@DashnJess2297@Darveyinbed I agree. My theory is that this is what will happen by the end of S7. (i.e. she stops working for him). I don’t think this article is reason enough to lose hope over what we wish for. 😊
@turningsardines My favourite scene with them (with the exception of “irrespective of the question, the answer…”, cause that phrase cannot be topped, ever. 😊) Both are so marvelous here.
@AllCreaturesTV Very hard to choose from a season full of wonderful moments (including the CS), but my favourite scene is Siegfried & Audrey’s kitchen encounter after three years: a masterful blend of emotion, humour and subtle dialogue, and two great actors we’re very thankful for. 😍
