@gomezzkg@KatryaLy Hi Kassandra, I agree with your statement that affirmative action should guarantee better chances at a higher education. It would be good for students of color and for school diversity.

@plemu004@TA_ED50 I agree with you. It’s so strange that they have to give so much already for their sport and on tops of that their limited to their activities all so the school can look good. @abhornUCRedu#UCR50
@elizabeths63749 @abhornUCRedu Hi Elizabeth, i find it interesting too that even though Title IX was implemented a long time ago and to this day we still struggle with inequality in male and female sports. #UCR50@abhornUCRedu
@jennifer395010@abhornUCRedu I also think that sports having diversity is importnant for people to have better views of people and to not let them get carried away by biases. #UCR50@abhornUCRedu
@cleidycampos050@KatryaLy I agree with you that a college atheletic climate is important to students and how they perform. Being surrounded by negativity can cause more harm, as it can negatively influence athelets and their performance. #UCR50@abhornUCRedu
@pudgykikz1@TA_ED50 I personally think that it would depend majorly on the department & funds, bc we have to think about where they’re getting the money to pay the athletes as well. As much as I think athletes should be paid, I think where they get the money from matters too. #UCR50@abhornUCRedu
@danieIaruiz@abhornUCRedu I agree with you that money can be redirected to other programs that have to do more with academics. As important as sport are so are academics. Money should be divided equally rather than just focused on sports.

@gomezzkg I agree that it’s highly unfair, especially for students who are using sports as an in for a higher education; but as unfair as it maybe the media exposure sports bring and new attention from influential/important people can be game changers for schools.
