Israel is now a punching bag for cynical Labour MPs to shore up their Muslim vote.
It's that simple.
If they didn't have a Muslim vote they would be saying something different and both Muslims and Jews shouldn't be fooled by this ethnopolitics triangulation.
It's disgusting.
@USATODAY Your child had a decision to make, your child made it, kudos to the child. However, that means decisions has consequences. I believe your child has every right to live life as they see fit. But, decisions have consequences....
10 years ago, I voted with 17,410,741 others to leave the European Union. This was the poster I had on my window, produced by the Labour Party in 1975.
I did so because, as a democratic socialist, I believe that the ability to plan our national economy should be in the hands of governments directly accountable to British voters at general elections.
Nothing in the decade since has shaken that core belief. In fact, as the years have gone by, I have become more convinced of its importance.
Whatever you think of Starmer, he took Labour from the shambles of Corbynism and won a landslide victory.
Whatever you think of Corbyn, he took the Labour Party to a humiliating, historical annihilation at the polls. Then set up ‘Your Party’, who currently poll at 0%
@technopopulist That’s not how politics works, you absolute clown. Governments don’t just lose elections under FPTP — oppositions still have to look remotely competent and electable. Under Corbyn, Labour didn’t.
Starmer dragged Labour back from being viewed as an unelectable protest movement
To be fair to Burnham, if I'd managed to comprehensively lose two leadership elections I'd be keen to find a way to avoid having another one as well. #bbcpm#c4news
There's been a secretive operation to compile a list of Labour MPs prepared to nominate Burnham - organised like the welfare rebellion last summer.
