He clearly doesn't require the general necessities that younger people have such as childcare, mortgage, union and professional body fees. Evidently doesn't need to buy school uniforms etc. I assume he wont be accepting the govt support

My wife and I are both pensioners and our combined income is about 2/3 of the average nurses wage of £42k. I have never used a foodbank and have no need to!

@mjhall0854 @simplysix2 @Freda78598062 As a nurse, and by no means do i need to use food-banks or any other support, but i can categorically state nurses do NOT start on £32k per year. Please check agenda for change, and that will give you a breakdown of banding and there starting salary.

You know how bad the pay is for NHS staff when I read a band 2 housekeeper is leaving the NHS. To work for Amazon delivering parcels. Because the pay is more. The same Amazon where staff have complained for breaks etc? That’s how awful the NHS pay is.

If i go to a A&E, where the staff cant even be bothered to show you where the staff toilets are, i will not let it interfere with my patient care, i will complete the shift professionally, and then cancel any future bookings i have for there! Kindness costs nothing

There are certain places begging for nurses. I go, do a shift there & met with frostiness. Rudeness. No one says hello. Is this burn out? I’ve called my agency & asked to cancel all shifts at that place & go where people are nicer. Even when busy they’re trying.
