@geertwilderspvv As an Israeli living in Amsterdam, your election was far more of a disgrace for me than the protests against genocide. People who live in Amsterdam choose peace, not right wing trash.
@erikjbekkers@LucaAmb @TUeindhoven As a female master student I don't feel inferior due to affirmative action but rather joyous that universities take action to balance the enormous discrimination that female academics face.
@Bringyotowel@MaryRoshPhD@honigmaydl@EristocracyTV Your take is ignorant among other reasons because Jews and Arabs are not the only ethnic groups residing in Israel. Among them for instance are the druze. You can deny the indigenous relation of Ashkenazi to Israel but that's not helping anyone.
@Bringyotowel@MaryRoshPhD@honigmaydl@EristocracyTV It is far more complex than that. Some people successfully immerse in the other culture and yet some don't. Jewish Moroccans or Ashkenazi remained a distinct ethnic group in their respective countries.
@Bringyotowel@MaryRoshPhD@honigmaydl@EristocracyTV Arabs are an ethnic group. You don't just 'become arab'. While /some/ Jews converted to Islam, many of the Arabs that currently reside in Israel migrated there during Arab and ottoman occupation. Palestinians - Arabs from the region, don't have more claim of nativity than jews
@cisgenderhaver I'm currently reading through the cook lab by Kenji and I got a new appreciation of what it means to cook. Like for sure, you can follow the imprecise directions of a recipe and hopefully get something good. But to cook is to understand the theory enough to get consistent results
