Alan Scott was meant to show up on Legends of Tomorrow, but he turned out to be off-limits, and was replaced with Hourman.

Years later, there was an attempt to add the Green Lantern emblem to Diggle's Spartan suit on Arrow season 8. Also vetoed.

I think this sentiment (in general, not just from this person) is really interesting bc there are a good bunch of dead characters but a lot of their deaths are SO unmemorable it feels like it’s nothing
