She DM’d me at 10:47 PM.
“Hi, I have the final interview tomorrow at 9 AM. My husband just got called into emergency surgery. I have no one to watch our 2-year-old. I can still come… but she’ll have to be with me. Completely understand if you’d rather reschedule.”
Old version of me would have typed: “Let’s find another time.”
New version of me typed: “Bring her. We’ll make it work.”
She walked in carrying a sleepy toddler on her hip and a laptop bag on the other shoulder.
Apologized twice before she even sat down.
Twenty minutes in, the little girl woke up cranky.
Started climbing on her.
This is the funeral of Private Kevin Elliot who was killed during a battle with the Taliban in Afghanistan.
His best friend Barry Delaney wore a green dress to honor a long time agreement that if one of them dies, the other has to wear a bright green dress to the funeral. The ceremony was held in Dundee, Scotland.

Sometimes you have to let people go. Not because they're bad people. Or because they've done something wrong. But because their vision of life is so vastly different from yours that staying would mean betraying yourself.
@stingingfly Hi there! I bought a digital copy in January and didn't receive the issue that I paid for. I have emailed the team but haven't heard anything in response. Can you shed any light on this?
I feel I've been a victim of false advertisement @foxs_biscuits I didn't feel that I had to read the small print with a such an established biscuit company at the time of purchase.
It wasn't until I opened the box of broken biscuits that I realised that I was fooled. Devastated.
