When a real person is flagged as a bot, or as mimicking bot-like activity, it raises serious concerns. It typically indicates:
•Coordinated or Inauthentic Activity
•Agenda-Driven Manipulation
•Deception as a Strategy
•Echo Chamber Amplification

And perhaps most damaging of all: it undermines credibility and casts doubt on the integrity of their content and motives.

Social media isn’t just a space for opinions,
it’s a powerful tool for influence. Wren’s account has been cited in a PhD research paper, regarding how misinformation is weaponised, not just in politics, but across a wide range of issues. This paper identified behaviours in users exhibiting social bot behaviour posts which consistently follow a pattern: spreading falsehoods, distorting facts, provoking outrage, and dividing communities.

But this isn’t just about what happens online.

Misinformation like this seeps into real life, fuelling harassment, shaping false beliefs, and causing lasting harm. I’ve personally been targeted by false claims and damaging narratives that originated with her content. I’m not alone.

Misinformation fractures communities, undermines trust, and puts real people at risk.

We must act.

I am in no way comparing like for like, or condoning these actions, but it blows my mind that, while @elonmusk has rightfully called out the abuse of his company, he doesn't do the same thing here on X. People are being doxed, abused and harassed, their family, neighbours and employers are being contacted b/c of what someone may post on X. Their family are being posted about, children included, and various agencies tagged......all of the above reported, YOUR automated system immediately responds with no violation found.
