While some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius. Because the people who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones who do
A major part of real-world AI has to be solved to make unsupervised, generalized full self-driving work, as the entire road system is designed for biological neural nets with optical imagers

Funny seeing this now.
In 2016 my humanoid robot developed a bias just from conversational patterns people typed to it.
That sent me down a rabbit hole on how language exposure shapes machine perception.

great to see progress on the first stargate in abilene with our partners at oracle today. will be the biggest ai training facility in the world. the scale, speed, and skill of the people building this is awesome.
@brian_armstrong It would require a very interesting architecture because while you’d want it to have some level of autonomy to system calls, you would also want it to require some permissions for some system operations that are critical. Would be bad for it to hallucinate and mess things up.
I wonder which company is seriously building the desktop operating system from Her that talks to you and has full access to all your data, running a model locally for privacy (won't work in the cloud I think).
Hopefully Apple has the chops to pull this off - quite a hard problem, and they've struggled on AI historically (Siri). I'm skeptical on Windows as a foundation to build on, but maybe.
If not Apple/Microsoft, does this create an opportunity for a startup to make a new category of "AI enabled OS"? (so difficult to get enough supported apps i'm not sure).
Android and iOS need this functionality as well. Google might be able to do it with ChromeOS. If there was actually high end hardware for ChromeOS (blocker to date), could be an opportunity for them to leapfrog MacOS and make the first OS with AI natively integrated.
