Closer look @drew_pynes
The UNCOMMITTED C is a TRUE catch & throw guy with great receiving skills. Currently hitting .362 with 4HR & 38RBI. Huge addition to any program!
University of Tennessee commits @GracynNeedle and @EmmaPynes6 joined us last week to experience the homeschool program, and hearing their feedback meant a lot. It was great having them in during spring break, getting quality work in and setting the tone for the week.
It was also awesome for our younger athletes to spend time around them, and see what that next level of commitment looks like up close. That kind of environment matters more than people realize.
Registration for next year is already open, and we’re getting close to our limit on accepted players. If you’re thinking about joining us for the upcoming school year, reach out to @TheBallplex and secure your spot before they fill up.
Really excited about this group and where this program is headed 🙌🏼
Uncommitted SO C Drew Pynes @drew_pynes off to a hot start! In 18 games Drew is currently hitting .348

True catch & throw guy. Throwing out 50% of attempted base stealers. Drew would be an asset to any program!
So lucky to have the best friends/teammates that came to support me at my meet today!! Working hard to have another successful year of javelin throwing😁

Are you really “dropping your shoulder”… or are you just leaning back?
Big difference.
When you lean back, you lose posture and tilt your spine away from the plate. That makes the barrel work up too early instead of staying through the zone. We want length through contact, a connected, slightly upward path that stays in the zone a long time. That’s what gives you margin for error and consistent hard barrels, even when timing isn’t perfect.
The back shoulder should always work down and finish through. Even on elevated pitches, it will typically finish just under the front shoulder, hands just need to stay up. That’s good rotation with posture. That’s not collapsing or drifting backward.
@EmmaPynes6 made a money adjustment here. Her contact quality was already strong… now it’s about to get better 🙌🏼
