Incredibly sad news last night. An amazing guy on and off track, I had the honour of working with Gil most recently for Roger Penske’s Autosport Award. I’ll never forget that last drink together. Much love and strength to all the family and Gil’s many friends. RIP 🙏🏼

Everyone at Autosport is saddened to hear that two-time CART champion and 2003 Indy 500 winner, Gil de Ferran, has passed away at the age of 56.

We all send our thoughts and condolences to his family and friends at this tragic time.

So sad to see this after an already sad week. Maxi was a wonderful person I thoroughly enjoyed working with in his Ford Fiesta racing days. I’ll never forget being his guest at V2001 and the experience of seeing Faithless perform live every time. Rest well Maxi 🙏🏼

We are heartbroken to say Maxi Jazz died peacefully in his sleep last night. He was a man who changed our lives in so many ways. He gave proper meaning and a message to our music. He was a lovely human being with time for everyone and wisdom that was both profound and accessible.
