Our new study assessing the feasibility of machine learning in dementia prognosis, as well as focusing on clinically accessible variables, is out now!

Our systematic review & meta-analysis on amyloid burden & white matter hyperintensities in older adults without cognitive impairment is out!
In this study, we found higher levels of amyloid burden on PET & CSF were associated with more WMH.

Johansson et al. show that plasma GFAP begins to increase 10 years before symptom onset in Alzheimer's disease, prior to P-tau181 and NfL, suggesting that GFAP is mirroring pathology upstream of tau phosphorylation and neurodegeneration. https://t.co/ypxQUjzOMS
Having an amazing time at #NCDCproject winter school in Nunspeet! Learning about the importance of RRI (responsible research and innovation) from dr. Natalie Terzikhan.
Published in my dream journal! Thanks so much to all co-authors that contributed to this. Interested in how psychosocial factors are associated with hippocampal subfield volume? Check out our new study!

In our recent paper, we assessed if allostatic load profiles explain the relation between depressive symptoms and incident dementia.

While allostatic load did not explain the relationship between depressive symptoms and dementia, we found additive interaction between the multisystem dysregulation group and depressive symptoms.
First first author publication for my PhD was accepted last night. 🙌🙌
It was a long road of rejections, and I’ve learned so much from the process. But most of all, don’t stop believing in your work. 🌟

#Proud and happy to finally see this published 🥳🥳
There are millions living with #dementia, but how many of these are due to #Alzheimer?
And how many people have prodromal Alzheimer or are healthy but at high risk, because of amyloid in their 🧠?
It turns out, A LOT👇
