@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet The world does not revolve around you, your child, or your beliefs. Failure on your part to be responsible for your child is just that. Why does no one want to take responsibility? Sigh
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet I understand what you are saying but school and story time at the library aren't the same situation. School they have to attend unless you homeschool. Story time is a choice that is made by the parent. Either one is a teachable moment for your child.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet You would pick your child up and leave. You would never take them back to that place. Correct? There is intentional influence everywhere you look. TV, internet, etc. Is this the only thing that concerns you? Teach your child what to do in those situations. It is how they grow.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet It is my responsibility to limit their exposure to things I don't agree with by checking the places out where I am exposing them. There are plenty of places where I don't have control like the grocery store, public transportation, etc. to also be worried where I have control.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet I have heard of them. I, as their parent, walked my happy tail into those places and checked them out myself prior to dropping my kid off and leaving them there because it is MY responsibility to make sure they are in a place I find appropriate for them.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet I don't know how else to tell you that you have ALL the control over your child's exposure in this situation. You physically have to take your child to the place and expose them for there to be ANY exposure.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet If Frankie in drag comes out and you don't like it, pick your kid up and leave. End of story. Take them somewhere you find appropriate. You cannot find out after the fact unless you left your young kids in the first place. Who is just leaving these kids for someone else to watch?
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet If they take their kid to story time, they have to know it is being done by someone in drag or do parents just drop their kids off and leave like the library is their personal babysitter? How do they find out after the fact? Prior consent doesn't make sense here. It's a choice.
@timconsolazio@SpiritWrangler@B52Malmet If parents are expressing a concern, they don't have to take their kids to the drag shows. Problem solved. This was and has never been an issue until now. Why? Because people are pushing their beliefs onto other people.
@ShortyTheCorgi@B52Malmet Are you concerned with all sexualization of children or just this? Because I haven't heard a word about dressing little girls up in makeup and parading them around in beauty pageants.
@DrJayCorwin @B52Malmet The children you are talking about are still innocent after having watched a drag show. They don't know that it isn't a costume just like any other.
@timconsolazio@B52Malmet Kids don't know or care that they are in drag. For them, it's a costume no different than other costumes. They are not limited by hate of someone who is different. They only learn that from people that are.
@Mikedfdguy @Big_Boss_Deku @klg1961@tedcruz If you don't like the laws outlining asylum, work to change them. They can ask for it no matter where they are in the country. Geeze, it's like you can't be bothered to read the actual laws.
