Very excited to be presenting at National Education Summit Brisbane. ACS is part of the exhibit too. If youโre a Brisbane based educator grab your free seminar pass and come say hi https://t.co/kJB9h9eAPm
@melbz_girl @VicGovDH I agree. It gets confusing. The team at @covidbaseau have some detailed graphs that shows all the vaccinations! I took this screen shot a week ago, the darker bottom part are the government hubs & the light blue is drs. Thatโs the graph I look for, it gives me hope ๐คฃ
@ZeinaChalich Iโm running! ๐ฑ my fitness started improving after 6 rounds of field hockey. I will not let covid beat my fitness and mental health ๐
@RussellCairns1 was looking for an editable link. I use Canva and have set an editable link here https://t.co/BkU2BxnhUM I hope you can access the editable link. Let me know if you need any help
A resource created through the ACS ICT Educators is aimed to help introduce our F-2 teachers with sequence of steps. Simple instructions to follow then put back in order. Join our community to freely access these resources and many more https://t.co/iOhEOYbA5r
My job is to support teachers with #digitech. Stoked to be working with a teacher from a remote school in WA. Professional email๐ ๐ผโโ๏ธ Scope and sequence for 2021 โ Next step, unpack each term. Algorithms, robotics, cyber safety, designing, data itโs all there for her P-4 classes ๐
@VMN_alex@MathsLoverMelbs I agree. Reading the fraction โ3 out of 8โ will also contribute to the misconception of comparing fractions. If they are comparing it to a half - our Ss may think 2 is smaller than 8 so 8 is the bigger fraction.
@VMN_alex@MathsLoverMelbs I was thinking fractions as a part of an object while your example is a fraction of a quantity. If that was a class activity Iโd talk about the quantity (3 out of 8 counters) versus representation of a fraction (three eighths) and get Ss to use โfraction languageโ as priority.
A6: @SportandiAndres led one about esports and the benefits of using them in our classes. It opened my eyes to how valuable those programs can be if we direct Ss in a certain way and have focus before implementing them #PrimarySTEMchat
Q5: that I talk too much! So I stopped talking thatโll and let the students do! Provide Ss with time to find the answer themselves. (One year I gave my students a week to teach each other. Pass on a skill, they loved it!) #PrimarySTEMchat
@BeckKeough1 @JessieLOliver Teachers are so good at evaluating, changing direction and going forward! Iโm always thinking โsomething for next time I will..โ #PrimarySTEMChat
@ponderingDan @CameronRoss3 Failure means you have a little more learning to do before you get it right. Our Ss need to reflect on their learning and celebrate success and failure. #PrimarySTEMChat
@SmilesStephi@erinschocolate@DowdNatalie I was ready to leave teaching. My principal at the time was the only one who โgot meโ. She and I talked for hours. She saw my vision and we worked together to get teachers there. I miss her but she was a massive part of my career development! #PrimarySTEMChat
A3: a year 5 S hated maths. She cried in a test because she couldnโt do it. Fast forward 4 years and I find out she is loving secondary school Maths and Science. Double proud because of her success and she was a girl loving STEM. #PrimarySTEMchat
A4: my students were building simple machines and trying to get things to work was a nightmare - for me and them. We worked together and the day I had a S have a cardboard wheel barrow that WORKED was the best day ever. Failure was part of the learning #PrimarySTEMchat
