While Phainon, outside of his Khaslana form, represent the Sun, Flame Reaver represents the Moon that he inherited from Cyrene. When Phainon (Sun) and Flame Reaver (Moon) merge, they become a Solar Eclipse/Khaslana.

Genuinely such a cute outfit. It fits her perfectly, especially the hair. I am glad Hoyo is a bit more creative with their skins now, although I like the Castorice outfit; that one felt more like a reskin than a new outfit.

Many people associate Phainon and Mydei with the sun and moon, but I don't think that's the case. I think that, as Demigods, Mydei represent the Lunar Eclipse, while Khaslana represent the Solar Eclipse. They are opposites in their eclipses.

@AiDios144 I linked FR to Cyrene's ceremonial blade. The "As I've Written" book, manifested due to Mem/Cyrene, features moon themes. I agree that moon and star motifs often appear together in Greek mythology. Onyx is also associated with the night cycle

Nikador is also considered a night-demigod, while Kephale is a day-demigod. Despite Mydei's colours being orange and easily associated with the sun, Casteum Kremnos is predominantly blue. The same way Phainon is blue, but Aedies Elysiae is orange. They are complementary.
