The best way to raise the quality of education is for teachers to keep engaging in deep thinking, reading, and rigorous debate.
Techniques are essential but a means to an end. At its core, teaching is a fundamentally intellectual endeavour, and it deserves to be treated as such.
@EmmaRadford4@janeycon@davowillz@Team_English1 Emma, how did yours do on unseen this year? We had high marks last summer, have exactly the same teacher input and saw steep drop in component 3 this year, despite good results in other components
@athrosaesneg@EnglishWales How did yours do on this? We had a steep drop in marks on this component this year, but identical teacher input to last year where we had v high results
@PhilBish Thanks for this. How did yours do on comp 3? We offered exactly the same input, but saw marks in the 20s and 30s compared to 60s and 70s last year
@PenguinUKBooks Looking for a holiday read or two. Love a memoir. Just finished Jeanette Winterson’s. Love Elena Ferrante, Donna Tartt. Recently read Hot Milk by Deborah Levy too. Any suggestions for something new?
@Reeba_Wood@Team_English1 These are amazing, thanks, although I just logged on again on my PC to download and it says the file is no longer there. Am I still able to download?
