If you help get someone elected, you shouldn’t get to profit lobbying them.
If you donated to a campaign, worked to get someone elected, you can’t come asking for favours for profit.
This is about making sure City Hall works for the public interest, not special interests.

Families should be able to enjoy Ottawa’s parks without feeling unsafe.
Good policy means balancing freedom, responsibility, and proper enforcement, not ignoring problems until they grow worse!

In fact, Alex posted the complaint AND all the emails online so people can judge for themselves.
Is that how someone makes a “spurious” accusation?

If you see wrongdoing should you blow the whistle? @AlexLawsonOtt did when he saw what looks like improper lobbying in @_MarkSutcliffe’s office.
The firm responsible responded with outrage and legal threats.
Interesting strategy…

Access to information is a powerful tool. The mayor's office knows Jennifer Stewart isn't registered to lobby for Syntax clients. But they're still picking up the phone.
I've released 100 pages of emails between the mayor's office and Syntax on my website:

Near misses matter too. Ottawa needs real traffic safety measures before accidents happen.
People have been asking for safer intersections for years.
The city shouldn’t wait for someone to get hurt before taking action. #ottawa#ottpoli
@mirgray@bpellerin 1) He’s my brother through blood, not marriage.
2) I have thoughts and opinions too.
3) I am a volunteer.
But otherwise your opinion is noted.
After promising “safer, affordable, reliable” and accomplishing the opposite, @_MarkSutcliffe is doing what he does best.
In a single sentence he blames other “toxic and dysfunctional” people and then claims credit for getting them to work together.
Bold strategy…
I assumed this was an honest mistake made by @Charlie_Senack and wrote the @Lookout editors earlier
Then I realized the City of #Ottawa & OC Transpo advertise heavily in their newsletters, so they've refused the corrections
Every man has to eat I suppose
We kept the receipts. @Charlie_Senack says he asked for comments on things he just never asked about.
Is this honest independent journalism? Or a biased smear job from an ideological opponent to a blue collar worker entering politics because the city needs help?
