The EMS FDNY Help Fund is reaching out on behalf of FDNY EMS EMT Frederick Benjamin of
Station 43, who is currently battling lymphoma. He has been receiving intensive treatment and care at Maimonides Medical Center.
Its been nearly 30 years since the Emergency Medical Service was merged with FDNY. I agree with my brother Anthony Almojera and believe we must undo that merger to reimagine a standalone NYC Dept of Emergency Medical Services to finally give EMS workers the respect they deserve.
The NYC Council decided that it's more important to make sure that the people delivering your chopped cheese, chips, and a Pepsi are paid better than EMTs who save lives.
