After completing and also paying fees for 5 consecutive years, this affects PhD scholars like myself at the most vulnerable point in their studies, and that too during the pandemic, when funds are low and future opportunities uncertain. @Minister_Edu@DrSJaishankar @JNUSUofficial
Sir @DrSJaishankar please help! The terminating foreign JNU students who would have submitted in June and have been granted a “Covid Extension” because JNU was closed are asked to pay fees for the extension semester, despite having completed the full programme. @JNUSUofficial

But ya go ahead and celebrate if you have to. For me, it's no justice at all. It's another disappointing day in the fights some of us have been fighting, fights that we will never win, fights where winning is actually not at all the point
Retributive justice is not the solution. The states instrumentalization of the death penalty to appease collective rage, a rage that is valid but often times misused to deliver supposed 'justice', does nothing to change the world we have all built. 1/5

India's textile industry thats worth 150-200 Billion USD, the irony of Indian male muslim karigars preserving and propogating mughal-era craft skills for abysmal pay, and why we need to think twice about wearing that 'we are all feminists' t-shirts https://t.co/Wna9fx2pwV
The #metoo#metooindia movies are starting to emerge. I think #guilty is worth a watch - hope more such narratives emerge so we can start talking about the complexities of defamation cases, the law and sexual violence, apart from much needed conversations on how we raise men/boys
