Also, my standards as a 20 year old collegiate athlete don’t have to make me feel incapable now. Thank you to those coaches for sharing and making me feel like I’m not the only one struggling with this.

Recently attended a camp in which the majority of the coaches were younger and female. At lunch, I asked the group what was the hardest adjustment post-playing? The majority mentioned the change of mindset when working out…how difficult it was to work out for enjoyment.

At 32, I am still working towards that. Some days when my body or schedule catches up to me, I still have to convince myself that something is better than nothing and I don’t have to absolutely crush myself each day.

I always do the summer packet with my team. At the spry age of 32, I have come to two conclusions:

1. The creator of the packet (me) needs to think carefully next year in the creation process….because ☠️☠️

2. Maybe 32 is my last year doing the packet

I have been traveling late at night recently for recruiting/camps and unfortunately have had to get food at several different fast food places.
