I don’t understand why anybody pays the least attention to statements like these, given that the president has been saying the war was won since early March 2026, demanded unconditional surrender multiple times, claimed over 40 times that a deal was “at hand,” and yet nothing ever materializes.

Even when he actually had a deal in his hand (the MoU), he threw it in the trash and went back to active combat.

The president is not interested in ending this war, or he would never have started it, and would have ended it in June when he had a clear exit path.

He has no plan to end it now, and it is unclear whether he is dragging the war out intentionally, or whether he is literally doesn’t know what to do.

Time will tell. But one thing you don’t have to wait to find out: nothing he says is true.
