If you're a broke man like me listen to the video I made this morning. I made it for you.
It worked for me it could work for you.
Gotta get used to this video thingy.
I have been thinking about what a homepage is actually supposed to achieve... For a long time, I believed its purpose was to explain what a business does, but I'm no longer convinced that's enough
Before visitors compare features, pricing, or testimonials, they're trying to answer much simpler questions... Am I in the right place ?
Does this business understand what I need ?
Can I trust what's being promised ?
If those questions remain unanswered, the rest of the page has to work much harder
That is why I don't see homepage design as arranging sections or choosing colors... I see it as removing uncertainty
Every headline, image, testimonial, and call to action should leave visitors with fewer questions than they had when they arrived
The best websites don't overwhelm people with information... They help people feel confident enough to take the next step
One thing I keep coming back to in my work: Most business websites I review try to say everything at once… When I look at a homepage, I often see walls of text, multiple competing messages, and too many buttons fighting for attention… Visitors land, feel overwhelmed, and bounce… From the systems perspective I use when building sites, the highest leverage fix is almost always clarity first… A strong headline that instantly tells someone what you do and why it matters to them… One clear primary action… Clean, purposeful layout that guides them naturally
Fancy animations and complex designs come second… Trust and understanding come first.
This is exactly the kind of thinking I bring when helping businesses establish an online presence that actually converts.
